Why the price spread is so wide
Three things drive cost: (1) imagery source — manned aircraft (EagleView) is more expensive than satellite, (2) human review — a person verifying the report doubles the unit cost, (3) carrier acceptance — providers with universal carrier acceptance charge a premium for that trust.
Cost per closed job — the number that actually matters
Forget cost per report. The right metric is cost per closed job. A $75 EagleView on a $24,000 retail re-roof at 22% margin is 1.4% of gross profit. RoofGenius standalone satellite reports are coming soon and cannot be ordered yet. Report savings cannot be calculated before launch.
